There are four series of commonly used magnesium alloys
⑴Mg-Al-Si(AS) series: AS series has good creep resistance, high strength, good plasticity and toughness, but poor filling performance, and is often used to manufacture engine parts with high working temperature, such as engine crankshafts Wait.
⑵Mg-Al-Zn(AZ) series: AZ series has balanced mechanical properties and casting properties, high yield strength and certain salt spray corrosion resistance, suitable for manufacturing thin-walled die-casting parts with complex shapes, such as valve sleeves and clutch housings body etc.
⑶Mg-Al-Mn(AM) series: AM series has excellent toughness and plasticity, and is suitable for manufacturing impacted parts, such as automobile wheels.
⑷Mg-Al-RE(AE) series: AE series has better creep resistance than AS series, but it is easy to stick to the mold, the die-casting performance is poor, and the cost of rare earth is high, and the temporary application range of this alloy is small.
